Ex-DANZIG Guitarist Forms New band, Lands Record Deal
March 5, 2003Former DANZIG guitarist Todd Youth has landed a deal with Capitol Records for his as-yet-unnamed new band and is preparing to enter the studio next month to record an album for a late 2003 release.
Youth, whose departure from DANZIG was announced last week, has posted the following message to the band's official message board:
"First off, I hope you guys know what a blast it's been playing for you the past couple of years. I've met and made some really good friends with some of you, and I know we'll still remain friends. I wasn't fired. I did some demos around Christmas and I ended up getting offered a deal with Capitol Records that was too good to pass up. I haven't named my new band yet. We start recording our album in April, I'll try and keep you guys posted on what's happening. Thanks for all your support, and good luck to whoever ends up being the next guitar player in DANZIG."
